A New Hampshire native, Holly Walker grew up in Wilmot, graduated from Kearsarge Regional High School in Sutton, and then completed a one year program at Katharine Gibbs secretarial school. After working at New London Trust and then a local travel agency for a number of years, in 1987 she and her mentor, Tom Gleason, became business partners when they opened Compass Travel in New London. She continues to operate the agency with co-worker, Wendy Sisto. Holly and her husband, Luigi Minoletti, escort small group trips to Europe and within the U.S.
A client’s motto shared with Holly many years ago — “Learn, Earn, Return” — came to mind when she was asked to join The Granite Foundation board in 2018 — and she’s been passionate about the Foundation’s mission ever since.
Holly has good reason to believe in New Hampshire’s Community Colleges. In 1982 her brother graduated from what was then called N.H. Vocational-Technical College in Nashua. He has owned and operated a successful automotive garage in Wilmot, N.H. for 25+ years. Our Community Colleges are vital for offering fulfilling careers and a successful N.H. workforce.
